Poland - September 2010 |
|
The official inauguration of the school year took place on September 1. The students and their grandparents met at school with all the teachers and the headmistress, Mrs. Dorota Kowalik.
On September 12 on the premises of our school, the teachers together with the headmistress and some parish representatives organized the family picnic “Goodbye Summer 2010”. The students invited their grandfathers and grandmothers to take part in the celebration. The elderly had the opportunity to spend the time actively with their grandchildren. They could win something in a raffle, taste some delicious home-made cakes and watch performances of local artists.

What is more, one of the elements of carrying out our project was a little poetry time. The pupils could become poets for a while – they wrote beautiful poems about their grandparents and the feelings they have towards them. |
