This year we didn’t have a Christmas celebration in our hall as we usually have every year. Instead of this our students from grade 7 invited parents, grandparents and teachers to a poetry evening to school.
Together in groups we recited poems which we had learned in our German, English and French lessons. Some of them were very funny, so all our visitors enjoyed this evening.
To make this evening a special event we had prepared some refreshments together with our parents which we offered for a small fee. This way we were able to make some money for the classes. This money will be used to finance the excursions we plan to do this term.
Poland- December 2010
At the beginning of the month students made Christmas and New Year cards and traditionally sent them to their grandparents.
We also put on Nativity Play. All parents and grandparents were invited to a palace which is situated near our school. Students sang some carols and recited poems.
Turkey- December 2010
After a year full of activities this month has been a little slower. Both students and teachers have continued with researching statistics.
The main activity of the month was the children designing Christmas and New Year cards. Many of which were displayed in the school foyer and then sent onto their grandparents.
2010 has been full of lots of
sharing,
understanding
and
bonding
between generations.
